Sundays have a bad stigma. People dread that day before Monday because they don’t want to go back to work the next morning. I mean, I’m not gonna lie…I wear black on Mondays to mourn the weekend. But I still like to make Sundays a day to relax and prepare myself for the upcoming week. It makes Monday much easier to deal with. Here are some things I do for myself for a relaxing last day of the weekend.
My fiance works on the weekends so we started a tradition of having iced coffee every Sunday morning before he leaves. It gives us some time to enjoy the morning together with a delicious drink and no worries.
My name is Desiree and I am addicted to candles. “Hi, Desiree!” Just about every day I have a candle lit somewhere in the house. Candles help me relax and they just make me smile because they smell so good! And walking around the house with the lights off, sun peeking through the windows and candles lit is like heaven to me.
Music truly does have the power to heal. It can mend a broken heart, bring memories back to life, make you dance when you don’t want to and calm you when your brain needs a break. On Sundays I love to have soothing background music going. Here’s a playlist of my favorite songs to let me forget any stress on my mind.
A disorganized space leads to a disorganized mind. I like to spend Sundays tidying up around the house so the rest of my week flows nicely. Simple things like folding and hanging up clothes and organizing things I use every day that have become a jumbled mess by the time Friday rolls around really make the busy work days that much easier.
Enjoy your Sunday and chill. No need to stress about Monday, it’s a brand new start to a wonderful week. Happy relaxing!
