Everybody needs a little motivation every now and then. We’ve been focusing a lot lately on our health and fitness, so we found some things that motivated us the most to keep ourselves on track. Cute workout clothes, fun accessories, and body pumpin’ music!
Cute workout clothes always get me pumped up to get a good workout in. Since I workout at home, I totally have the option of just throwing on some old sweats and a t-shirt but that’s not as fun! It gets me excited to change into colorful workout gear after a long day at work.
The Bellabeat Leaf is a fashionable health tracker that’s geared towards women. It tracks your activity, sleep, period, and even mindfulness. What woman doesn’t want cute piece of jewelry that can be a necklace, bracelet, or brooch that can also help you stay healthy and reduce stress with breathing exercises? It’s not a heart rate monitor yet, but as long as you’re keeping track of your overall activity for the day, you’re set!
Not going to sugar coat it by any means ladies, I HATE working out. Hate it! It’s a battle every single day of the week to get my butt in gear, but the greatest reward is how awesome I feel once I’m done.
In the past, I feel like I’ve always half assed working out, so this time around I’ve made a few rules for myself that I’m committed to sticking with. The rules that have helped me over the past few weeks, are this;
Drink plenty of water.
Log my daily food intake, including calories.
Size down my portions.
Workout as soon as I get home every day to get it out of the way.
Once I’ve started my workout, no matter how bad I want to quit I make myself finish and finish strong; from beginning to end. The hardest part for me is not giving up just because I haven’t seen the results I want. Who wants to keep it up if you don’t see immediate changes? The one thing I have to keep reminding myself is that everything takes time.
What’s motivating me these days is Desiree. How? Well, we both decided to jump on the fitness bandwagon together a few weeks ago and when we did, we made it a point to talk on a day to day basis. Once our workout is complete, we also make sure to message one another. If you have a good friend who’s in the same mindset as you, motivating one another and holding each other accountable definitely helps. Positive, encouraging friends are the best!
